Society of Professional Journalists at Cal Poly Pomona (SPJxCPP)

The Cal Poly Pomona chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will connect young journalists with professionals through the SPJ network. With over 250 local chapters, SPJ members can connect with other students to discuss the role and influence of journalism in today's society. SPJ encourages its members to participate in the discussion of the Freedom of Information and First Amendment Rights. Members of SPJ will have access to resources such as webinars, blogs, and job postings provided by SPJ Headquarters as well as the opportunity to participate in local in-person activities to gain insight into the various areas of journalism.
SPJ encourages student journalists to abide by the SPJ Code of Ethics in their journalistic practices as students and as future professionals to protect the great responsibility of the publication of information. In our search for truth and information, SPJxCPP promotes active learning and provides students with insight to the fascinating and ever-changing world of journalism.
